Angora Litters 8 Weeks Old

Times goes by so fast, doesn't it? I swear, these babies were just born. But here we are, 8 weeks later, and they're absolutely the most adorable little babies. Not that they were cooperating for pictures today, but.

This age is a big one for them - today, they got sorted out into cages away from their mamas, which is always a bit of a sad thing to do. Over the next few days, they'll all be groomed for the first time, and each and every one will be tattooed. It's a big, exciting week for them, but they're doing great so far!

I've been busy putting together more cages, and just trying to keep everything together while we are in the transition stage between barns. Right now all the bucks are in one cage, and then there's 2 cages with 3 does in each. It'll work out for now.

For those unfamiliar with these litters, the first one is out of Moirai Colleen Wing x GC Flowers' Fresno, and the other is out of Elementary's Kate Bishop x GC Flowers' Fresno. More information on the parents can be found on the does and bucks pages. I am thrilled with the potential in this litter. While everyone is in a bit of an awkward stage right now, I'm still excited. I have my eye on a few does from Colleen's litter, and 2 does and a buck from Kate's litter. They might not look like much right now, but I know their mothers, and I know the genetics behind their sire, and all of it just makes me so, so excited to watch some of these little ones grow up.

Their first show is coming up on May 12th! I cannot wait to get back into showing after having most of the spring off. I probably won't know exactly who I'm taking until the day before, but it'll likely be mostly does and then one of Kate's little chocolate tort bucks. Daredevil will also be coming. The little ones will be just shy of 10 weeks old, so I'll just be going for opinions, but I'm hoping that after this show I'll be able to choose who I'll be retaining and who will be going.

If you're looking for a wooler or a show rabbit, now is the time to contact me! Nothing will be available until after the show and until I know who I will be keeping. However, getting comments on the babies will help me more accurately sort out anyone not staying into appropriate show or wooler homes. Contact info can be found on the for sale page, or you can message through our Facebook page.

From here on out, it can only get more busy. Now I have 13 rabbits in my grooming schedule/cycle, and 11 of those are show coats (until woolers are narrowed out, then they won't be groomed as frequently). I love it, though. The grooming is one of the best parts!

There'll for sure be lots more pictures coming up, either here or on any of our social media accounts, because the babies can only get even more cute!
